Class 10 Structures

We understand the importance of outdoor living space. Enhance your property by increasing it’s value and functionality.

Pergolas, Decks, Sheds, Pools

At Canberra Drafting and Approvals, we can draft and aid in getting your class 10 structures approved. Whether you’re envisioning a new deck or pergola, adding a pool, and more, our expert team is here to assist you every step of the way. No two projects are alike, this is why we tailor solutions to fit your specific block. We can also work based on any pre-fabricated plans that you have. For example if you already had a carport or shed provider who has given you a quote, we can use these plans, and help you get approval for that structure. The rules and regulations for class 10 structures differ to class 1, and we pride ourselves knowing these regulations in and out.
The timeframe can vary depending on whether your project requires Development Approval (DA) and Building Approval (BA), or Building Approval only. As a rough ballpark, expect 4-5 months for a DA and BA, whereas a DA exempt BA would be closer to 1-2 months. We can manage this whole process for you and provide information about whether you are DA exempt or not.
Yes, we can make sure that a class 10 structure has been designed to suit your block, keeping in mind existing structures, access requirements, ACTPLA requirements, and more.
Absolutely, we work closely with many deck and shed builders in the ACT, and can point you in the right direction. We can get multiple quotes based on our plans for you.

Used Canberra Drafting for a new granny flat. The design was great and took my current house into account. They recommended a great builder, and I'm very happy with the final product.
